Today, the Central Ohio Fire Museum is a 10,000-square-foot facility located in a renovated former firehouse in downtown Columbus, Ohio. In addition to housing a significant collection of firefighter memorabilia, the museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the history and culture of the fire service in Central Ohio. Through interactive exhibits and a variety of educational events, visitors can gain an insight into the lives and careers of the men and women who have dedicated their lives to the protection and preservation of the communities of Central Ohio. One of the most impressive features of the Central Ohio Fire Museum is the collection of antique firefighting apparatus, ranging from vintage hand-drawn engines to state-of-the-art aerial ladders. Viewers can also observe the array of firefighter helmets, coats, and boots, along with an array of photos, badges, and other memorabilia from the late 19th century to today.
