Located on the East side of downtown, John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons was initially opened in 2012 and was founded by the late John F. Wolfe, who was an active and influential real estate investor in Columbus and throughout the region. The park is named in honor of Wolfe, who was instrumental in the development of the capital, and it takes its design cues from other downtown areas of Columbus, featuring wide open grassy spaces perfect for a picnic, colorful flowerbeds, and tree-filled pathways ideal for leisurely strolls. Columbus Commons offers a wide variety of activities and attractions to make it a destination that creates lasting memories. One of the main draws is the weekly Farmer's Markets every Friday during the summer, perfect for stocking up on locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as tasty snacks and lunch items.
