The Arena District includes Nationwide Arena, the home of the Columbus Blue Jackets, as well as a variety of restaurants, bars, hotels, and office buildings. The development of the Arena District began in 1999 with the construction of the Nationwide Arena. The Arena District was designed to be a mixed-use development to create a vibrant and lively downtown Columbus.
