Officials from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating a fatal accident at a construction site near Fayetteville, Arkansas, according to KNWA-TV. The worker, Brannon Rhine, died during an excavation project when trench collapsed and he was covered in soil and suffocated. Parkcrest Builders was the contracting company excavating at the site.
“Our deepest sympathies and our thoughts are with the family, friends and co-workers of the deceased,” said Parkcrest President Jaw Stewart. “This is a tragic accident that has impacted us all…We have secured the site of the accident. We are working closely with the officials who are investigating the incident and we are waiting on their report.”

If Parkcrest was in violation of any federal regulations, OSHA will be issuing hefty fines.
