OhioMeansJobs Program to Help Injured Workers Return to Work

Many times when workers are injured, it can be a while before they are able to return to their place of employment.

Some injuries might even cause lifelong disability, so it is important that workers receive as much help as possible. Fortunately, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has created a new program that will help injured workers return to the workforce. The OhioMeansJobs program will provide workers with job placement services, online employment boards and additional career training.

Workers unable to return to their previous position can utilize the program to find new jobs and learn additional skills. Instead of being unable to work again, the OhioMeansJobs program will help injured workers find an occupation that allows them to work in spite of having disabilities.

In addition to providing education and job placement services, the program will serve as a means of networking for injured workers and will host regular job fairs throughout the state.

To help boost the rate of job placements, the program will also offer incentives to employers hiring from the OhioMeansJobs program.
