Terrence W. Larrimer
Terrence W. Larrimer is senior partner at Larrimer & Larrimer. The firm
was founded in 1928 by his father, Richard N. Larrimer (1903-1987). The
firm has specialized since that time in representing injured workers before
the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’
Compensation.
Terrence W. Larrimer graduated from the Columbus Academy in 1965. He received
a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in 1969, with submission of
his senior thesis in African History, “the Development of the One
Party State in Uganda,” which is still available for research and
is buried deep in the Firestone Library at Princeton University. He received
his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1972, where he was a member
of the University of Michigan’s International Moot Court Competition
team.
He was employed as an associate attorney at Williams and King, Washington,
D.C. from 1972 through 1973, practicing in international trade law. From
1973 through 1974, he was corporate counsel for the National School Lunch
Company, Washington, D.C.
In 1974, he returned to Columbus to work with his father and has been a
partner of Larrimer & Larrimer from that time to the present. Presently,
Terrence W. Larrimer is directly managing the cases in the Columbus, Hamilton
and Cincinnati district offices. In addition to the administrative work
before the Ohio Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation,
he is also involved in Mandamus challenges to the Franklin County Court
of Appeals and jury trial work pursuant to R. C. 4123.512.
He has been a guest lecturer at workers’ compensation seminars on
various aspects of the workers’ compensation law. He has twice been
selected as a “Super Lawyer” in the Ohio Super Lawyers publication.
He and his wife, Linda, have three daughters, who will hopefully complete
their college educations in 2007.
Terrence W. Larrimer has been a prominent figure promoting the sport of
rugby in central Ohio. He was a founder, captain, Hall of Fame member of
the Scioto Valley Rugby Football Club. He previously was a captain of the
Princeton University Rugby Club, All Ivy League Team (1969), Eastern Collegiate
Rugby Champion (1969), University of Michigan Rugby Club (captain), a member
of the Potomac Union Select Side Rugby Team, Eastern Rugby Union Champion
(Sud Americano, 1972), five time member of the Ohio Select Side Rugby Team
and three time member of the Midwest Select Side Rugby Team, Midwest Champion
(SVRFC, 1978) and two time invitee to the National Eagle training camp.
He is now retired from active rugby, but maintains close contacts with this
athletic program in central Ohio. |
